Peanut Butter Cup Crunch Brownies

1 batch brownies (9x13 size, box or from scratch)
1/2 c. salted peanuts
8 Reese's peanut butter cups, chopped
1 1/2 c. milk chocolate chips
1 1/2 c. creamy peanut butter
1/2 Tbs. butter
1 1/2 c. Rice Crispies cereal

Prepare the brownies in a 9x13 pan according to directions and bake for 5 minutes less than the recipe states. Remove from the oven and sprinkle with peanuts and chopped peanut butter cups. Return to the oven and bake for 5 more minutes. Meanwhile, melt the chocolate chips, peanut butter, and butter in a saucepan over medium-low heat (or in the microwave). Stir in the cereal to evenly coat. Remove the brownies from the oven and pour the chocolate mixture over top, spreading evenly. Refrigerate for 2 hours before cutting and serving. Store in the refrigerator. Makes 24 brownies.
